Lau
Mr. Lau is a Senior Director of the firm. Mr. Lau was born in Honolulu,
Hawaii. He attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,
earning his B.S.B.A. in Economics,
Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned
his M.B.A. in Finance and the University of California, Hastings
College
of
Law
in San
Francisco, where he earned his J.D. in 1977.

Mr. Lau is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association - Real Property
and Financial Services, Corporate Counsel, Corporations and Securities,
Bankruptcy sections and serves as a Director of the Collection Section
of the Bar. He is also a member of the American Bar Association,
the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Hawaii State Bar Association
Probate and Estate Planning Section, the American Trial Lawyers
Association and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
He is also a member of the Consular Corps of Hawaii, the Honorary
Consul for Belgium in Honolulu, a Trustee and Treasurer
of the University of Hawaii Foundation, a Trustee of the University of California Hastings College of the Law 1066 Foundation,
a Director of the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business Alumni Association,
he serves as the President of the Lehigh University Alumni Club of Hawaii, and serves on
the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association. He
is licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the
Ninth Circuit, the U.S. Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth
Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court and is a Hawaii Circuit Court
Appointed Arbitrator. Mr. Lau is also a member of the Federal
Circuit Bar Association - Bench & Bar and is presently Legal
Counsel and First Vice President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce
of Hawaii.
